Late 1800's Minnow Bait Bucket Stamped # 9 Oval Shaped w/ Unique Sliding Entry

Late 1800's Minnow Bait Bucket Oval Shaped that measures 10 1/4" x 7 3/4" across the bottom and 8 3/8" x 6 1/2" across the top. This minnow bait bucket has a locking hasp on the front and a unique domed sliding entry on the top of the lid between the air holes. The dome slider is stamped # 9 and other than that we could not find any manufacturers name. I believe that some previous owner may have repainted the minnow bucket covering the makers name. The minnow bait bucket itself is in remarkable condition and has no rust although it shows normal wear from fishing. It has a wonderful patina and masculine appeal making it one of the nicest old minnow buckets we've seen in years.
